Ya Ta Kon means waterfall in Burmese language.
Our five-strand Ya Ta Kon necklace brings vibrant colour and pattern to a simple t-shirt or dress. The five strands tie up at the back so you can adjust the length of them to work with various necklines, as pictured.
The Ya Ta Kon necklace is made by our artisan, Ma Nan, from hand-loomed Karen sarongs woven in Um Phiem Mai refugee camp.
Every piece created is unique. Only eight pieces can be made from one sarong, and all the fabric is cut to lessen waste.
Ethically handmade by Man Nan, in Mae Sot, Thailand. All our products empower women artisans and refugees from Burma. .
Fabric: Cotton blend.
We also make the matching Ya Ta Kon bangle.
